NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The earliest you should expect to receive a 2016 tax refund from the IRS is February 15. The IRS expects to issue most refunds in less than 21 calendar days. You can file your return as early as January 23. 

All charitable contributions you want to use as deductions must be made before the end of 2016. The IRS notes all contributions must be made to a qualified organization. Click here for information about what constitutes a qualified organization. You must have written acknowledgment from the organization, documenting your donation.
