HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana State Police have arrested a man and a woman after finding nearly a half a million dollars worth of cocaine inside a truck.
Just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, State Police pulled over a 2014 Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on I-12 in Hammond for a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, State Troopers became suspicious of criminal activity and requested written consent to search the vehicle. During the search, State Troopers found 16.3 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $464,550 inside the truck.
The driver, Maria Delores Daniel, and her passenger, Julio Cesar Cisneros, were arrested and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail for possession of over 400 grams of cocaine.
