NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD responded Wednesday to a triple shooting in the Seventh Ward that killed one man and injured two others.
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of A.P. Tureaud at N. Tonti Street, where all three victims appeared to have been shot while sitting in a white Monte Carlo that was stopped in front of a home. One of the victims managed to get out of the car but collapsed on the steps of a nearby house. The other two victims were found inside the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The passengers were taken to the hospital to be treated for what were considered to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the name of the deceased victim and the official cause of death.
