One killed, six wounded in five separate New Orleans shootings

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are investigating five separate shootings in the last 24 hours.

One person was killed and at least six others injured in the shootings.

Police say around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday a gunman opened fire in the 2300 block of A.P. Tureaud Avenue.

One man was killed and two others were injured while they sat a car.

About an hour earlier, a man was shot on I-10 eastbound at the Dwyer Street overpass in New Orleans East.

A man, standing outside Behrman Stadium, was shot in Algiers, near the intersection of Shirley Drive and Lawrence Street.

A shooting in the 6100 block of Franklin Avenue wounded an innocent bystander at a store.

A man was shot in the stomach in the 1400 block Bartholomew Street.
