A weak cold front will return our temperatures to seasonable levels on Wednesday. Highs will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's Wednesday and Thursday. The front is expected to be dry.
Our next rain chance comes on Friday when a real winter-time front is expected to blast through the area. Temperatures will remain in the 40's all day Friday with a cold rain spreading moving through behind the colder weather.
The weekend is expected to be sunny and cold. Highs will remain in the 40's. Lows will drop into the 20's on the North Shore and well away from Lake Pontchartrain. A hard freeze is possible by Sunday morning.
Around the Tidal Lakes, lows will be mostly in the 30's, however some parts of the metro area could reach freezing on Sunday morning.
A slow warm-up will begin by next Monday.
