NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

In a game of momentum swings and long scoring runs, the LSU Tigers ran away from the Missouri Tigers in the second half to win 88-77 and improve to 1-1 in SEC play and 9-4 overall.

Missouri used a 13-0 run to jump out to an early lead on their home floor in the first half but LSU's 26-10 run in the second half put them ahead for good. Sophomore Antonio Blakeney led the purple-and-gold with 24 on 10-of-20 shooting from the field.

Johnny Jones' team returns to Baton Rouge to host Mississippi State Saturday at 2:30 PM.
