NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - One of the city's latest armed robberies suggests it's not even safe to be along a busy intersection of Earhart Boulevard in the middle of the day. According to a preliminary police report, four black juveniles targeted a 77-year old man, demanding his money. The victim refused and one of the juveniles shot the elderly man in a arm with a pellet gun.
But this victim wasn't ready to give up the fight. He then pulled mace out of his pocket and threatened to spray the juveniles. All of them began running from the man in an unknown direction. All of this happened Wednesday afternoon, around 12:30 p.m. in the 7600 block of Earhart near Pine Street. Police have not released any further information on the suspects in this case or the victim who was shot by the pellet gun.
