JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department detectives are searching for a man reported missing from a Harvey hotel. Matthew Westley Flemming, 61, was last seen Saturday around 2 a.m. at the Comfort Suites located in the 1600 block of Elton Court, police say.

Family members told police that Flemming suffers from medical conditions that cause him to become confused and scared. He also may not know his name when asked. His condition requires medication to be taken daily.

Flemming was last seen asking the front desk clerk where the restroom was located. Shortly afterwards, he was seen walking out of the front door of the hotel.

Matthew Flemming is six-feet tall, weighing 200 pounds with a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing blue/gray plaid pajama pants with a gray t-shirt.

Police say that foul play is not suspected in his disappearance.

If you have any information that could help locate Matthew Fleming, you are asked to call JPSO Detective Miguel Dukes at 504-364-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
