NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Gulf moisture will be increase during the day on Thursday. There could even be a few showers or a thunderstorm by the afternoon hours. The same weather is likely on Friday. Most of these days will see dry weather. It will be warmer with highs well into the 70s.
A stronger disturbance will affect us over the weekend. The timing and strength is still in question, but a gradual increase in rain should be expected during the day Saturday. Widespread rain and some strong storms may be possible by evening and overnight.
The good news is that most, if not all of the rain will clear by Sunday morning.
Canadian air will surge across the area next week. That means sunshine, dry conditions and below normal temperatures.
