(WVUE) - The Pelicans' seventh game with DeMarcus Cousins in the lineup resulted in the sixth loss since he was acquired, despite the All-Star center leading the team with 25 points. Ultimately, the playoff-bound Raptors outscored the home team by eight points in the second half to win, 94-87.
Anthony Davis was injured at the end of the first half when during a dunk attempt, he collided in mid-air and hit his left hand on the rim. The team announced he would not return for the second half due to a left wrist contusion.
Davis' teammates looked to pick up the slack in the fourth quarter when they went on an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter but Toronto responded by finishing the game on an 11-3 run.
The Pelicans fall to 25-40 on the season heading into their Saturday matchup at Charlotte.
