NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Iconic artists are teaming up for some impressive double bills in 2017. One of the biggest involves a pop diva and a post-punk princess from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame bands. Stevie Nicks and Pretenders led by Chrissie Hynde play the Smoothie King Center this Wednesday, March 15.
Headliner Stevie Nicks has a catalog that rivals any artist. On Wednesday she's expected to rely heavily on her solo work but will sprinkle in some Fleetwood Mac classics.
Hynde should give Pretenders fans a thrill taking a deep run through their songbook. This tour the two have even shared the stage for a duet - but we won't spoil for what song.
Nicks is once again on a Mac break, and reviews say she is in great form. Keep an eye out if she pays homage to the city with her song "New Orleans" from her top 10 album In Your Dreams released in 2011"
I wanna get a room in New Orleans
I wanna sing in the streets of the French Quarter
I wanna dress up
I wanna wear beads
I wanna wear feathers and lace
I wanna brush by the vampires
Nicks played the song when she passed through Memphis on her 24 Gold Karat Tour last Wednesday.

Meantime, Hynde is equally timeless and has lost none of the sass she has possessed in the bands live shows.

Gates open Wednesday at 6 p.m. and there are still some tickets remaining.
