NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Former Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks took to Instagram, Tuesday, to say goodbye to the New Orleans Saints organization, fans and teammates.
The former first-round pick and three-year pro was dealt, Friday, from the Saints to the New England Patriots, in exchange for a first round pick and third-round pick. New England also received a fourth-round pick in the deal.
All draft picks involved in the trade are 2017 picks.
Cooks finished the 2016-17 season with 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns but also voiced his frustration about not getting any receptions during the Saints' win over Los Angeles.
