(WVUE) - The Saints have signed linebacker Manti Te'o to a two-year deal, according to ESPN's Mike Triplett. Te'o confirmed the deal to KHON.
Te'o will join a crowded linebacker room; the Saints now have eight on their current roster. Te'o played four seasons for the Chargers after being drafted in the second round out of Notre Dame. He has yet to play a complete season and his 2016 campaign was cut short by a torn Achilles in week three. Prior to that, his best season statistically was 2015 when he recorded 83 tackles, forced a fumbled and intercepted a pass.
