TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office has identified a man who was found shot to death in his vehicle on March 15.

Deputies began investigating after finding the body of a black male located inside an abandoned vehicle on the side of I-55 at the LA 440 exit. The coroner identified the man as 35-year-old Alphonse Reid of Kentwood, LA. They said he was found inside a silver Infinity G37x with a Mississippi license plate. Investigators said Reid had been shot multiple times.

Investigators found that Reid had recently moved to the Kentwood area from Arkansas. Detectives have interviewed multiple people and gathered information connected to his death, but they said they still need the public’s support in finding out who is responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (800) 554-5245.
