Who Dat Making Headlines

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It's been more than two decades since Mariah Carey's Christmas hit "All I want for Christmas" was released. Now the holiday classic is being revamped into an animated movie.

Narrated by the singer herself, Carey and Universal Home Entertainment are set to drop the film in December.

Brie Larson heads to Amazon

Brie Larson is bringing her star power to Amazon.

The actress will play Victoria Woodhull, who became the first woman to run for president of the United States after launching a campaign in 1872. Woodhull ran for office before women had the right to vote. While Woodhull didn't win the election, she did go on to own a Wall Street investment firm.

The role comes naturally for Larson as she is an advocate for Planned Parenthood and sexual assault survivors.

Meryl Streep Meme Takeover

Social media users just can't enough of the latest meme making its rounds on the internet.

A picture of actress Meryl Streep cheering from the 2015 Oscar's is being paired with well-known song lyrics.

Here's how it works! You take the first part of a popular song lyric and then Streep hollers out the next line to finish the phrase. For example, one meme quotes a  Journey song. The first line reads, "Just a small town girl" and then use the photo of Streep to yell out "living in a lonely world."

Many internet users took a shot at reviving old tunes with the help of the star.

But for those wondering, the photo is actually of Streep cheering on Debbie Reynolds with Reynolds won the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
