NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Today we have seen more clouds and winds picking up from the south-southeast. We have seen a few fast moving stray showers and this will continue into the early evening.
Storm chances will increase overnight and tomorrow morning. Staying weather aware will be important, as a few storms could be strong or severe. The main threats include locally heavy rain and strong winds. Isolated storms that produce large hail and/or a tornado cannot be ruled out. The severe threat will diminish after noon, but some showers may linger into the afternoon.
Drier weather is expected on Sunday before another system brings a chance for a few showers or stray storm early next week.
