NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The weekend is finishing on a much nicer note after strong storms pushed through on Saturday. Sunday continues to be very pleasant after starting out in the middle 60's with filtered sunshine and temperatures warming into the low 80's by the afternoon. Expect pleasant conditions to continue through the morning hours on Monday.
Some patchy fog may develop through the overnight with warm, moist air still in place and relatively light winds. Besides the early morning fog, Monday should start out on a fairly pleasant note. By the afternoon the southerly breeze will pick up as another upper low goes racing across middle America. Most of the energy with this system stays well north leaving only the likelihood of one or two isolated storms mostly on the North Shore.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly dry, but another upper level low approaches the area on Monday. This next system should track farther to the south and may trigger more widespread, stronger storms. Pay close attention to the forecast as we move deeper into the week.
