Police Chief: Mandeville officer on leave after DWI incident

MANDEVILLE, LA (WVUE) -

A Mandeville police officer has been placed on administrative leave and is the subject of an internal affairs investigation after an off-duty incident in Ponchatoula late Monday night.

Officer Becky White was allegedly driving her marked Mandeville police unit while intoxicated. Police were unable to provide additional details as the investigation is ongoing. 

“Rest assured that this allegation will be taken very seriously and that a thorough investigation will be conducted,” said Mandeville Police Chief Gerald Sticker in a news release.
