NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two men were shot in one of two armed robberies under investigation by the New Orleans Police Department.
Just after 1 a.m., police responded to New Orleans East Hospital to investigate two men who arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The victims, a 21-year-old man and a juvenile male, were injured in at attempted armed robbery near the intersection of Parc Brittany and South Coronet Court.
The next incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. in the 8200 block of Oleander Street.
The victim, a 68-year-old man, was in his home when two men entered armed with a gun and a knife.
The suspects, later identified as 20-year-old Angelo Holmes and a juvenile male, demanded money they claimed the victim owed them.
When the victim told them he had no money, they beat him with the gun and a metal chair.
Holmes and the juvenile were arrested by police attempting to flee the residence.
