Police search for woman accused of going on a shopping spree with a stolen debit card

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are asking for assistance from the public in locating a woman accused of theft and access device fraud.

Investigators say the woman stole a debit card from someone in the 1500 block of Dumaine Street on March 31 around 4:30 a.m. Police say she then made several transactions with the stolen card at several locations in both Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. Surveillance cameras capture images of the woman using the card at some of the locations.

Anyone with information about who the woman is or where she may be is asked to call the New Orleans Police department at (504) 658-6010 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
