NOPD search for Carondelet St. armed robbery suspect

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The NOPD is searching for 33-year-old Denise Bright in connection with an armed robbery that happened at Bordeaux and Carondelet streets on March 11.

The victim told police that he accepted a ride from two unknown black females around 6 a.m. at that intersection.

The victim said one of the females pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded his wallet and his cellphone. He complied with their demands, then fled the vehicle. The victim’s debit card was then used multiple times at ATMs in the area.

Through the investigation, detectives determined Bright was involved in the robbery.

She is described as being 5’6” tall, weighing 147 pounds and having a unique hairstyle. 

Bright is wanted for armed robbery and unauthorized use of an access card.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Second District detective at 504-658-6020 or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
