NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Expect to see a lot more bicyclists on the roads around the city Wednesday on "Bike to work day."
Bikers are riding along the Lafitte Greenway at South Jefferson Davis which is one of the meeting points for some riders.
They're heading to Lafayette Square where an official kick-off event that featured free breakfast and bike tune-ups.
This is the 6th Annual Nola Bike to Work Day. The goal is to raise awareness about the benefits of biking in New Orleans.
There are 100 miles of bike lanes in the city. City leaders have tried to make the ride easier for bicyclists in recent years.
