NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The forecast remains on track as we head into the afternoon this Easter Sunday with plenty of Gulf moisture continuing to stream into southeast Louisiana. We see a number of heavy down pours and even a little lightning. It's not raining everywhere, but a number of locations are getting a dousing and more will see rain before the day is out. It's not a washout, but we are certainly dealing with increased rain coverage compared to earlier last week.
Extra cloud cover and rain will likely keep highs in the 70's on Sunday and even into Monday of next week.
Rain chances decrease by Tuesday and the rest of next week looks warm and humid with plenty of sun.
