(WVUE) - As highs climb to near the 80-degree mark Monday afternoon, scattered showers and a couple of storms are likely to pop up.
The rain will clear Monday evening and temperatures will drop to the mid to upper 60s by Tuesday morning.
Rain chances will drop throughout the week with just a 20 to 30 percent chance Tuesday and Wednesday.
By Thursday, high pressure will help keep us mostly dry. With these decreasing rain chances, plan on increasing temperatures. By the end of the week, highs could reach the mid to upper 80s in some spots.
A cold front appears likely to cross the area Sunday morning. This would spark up a few showers or storms during the early hours of the day but then usher in some refreshingly cool air to close out the weekend.
