NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - After a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms, the rain will taper off Monday night leaving behind some areas of overnight patchy fog. Tuesday, we can expect about 30% coverage then we turn drier and warmer mid and late week.
Rain chances continue to drop through the week as a ridge builds back in across the area.
Thursday, high pressure will help keep us mostly dry. With these decreasing rain chances, we'll also see increasing temperatures. By the end of the week, highs could reach the mid to upper 80's in spots.
A cold front appears likely to cross the area Sunday morning. This would spark up a few showers or storms during the early hours of the day but then usher in refreshingly cool air to close out the weekend.
