LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The fire spread to a neighboring house, which was also a total loss and damaged a third home.
Deputies discovered Savoie had been at the scene right before the fire started.
When he was questioned, deputies say Savoie changed his story several times before confessing to starting the fire with a disposable lighter.
But, deputies say he did not explain why.
Savoie was released from the Lafourche Parish Detention Center Saturday night after posting $15,000 bond.
