NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

People tasked with picking the types of stores that will open in Armstrong International's new terminal want a mix of national and local brands.

The selection committee narrowed down April 18 retail development options to plans offered by two groups. Next, their recommendations go to the Aviation Board for approval.

Paradies Lagardere wants to open stores that will highlight brands, which include TripAdvisor and Brother's Food Mart. Pacific Gateway proposed offerings include a Hattie Sparks boutique and a store that would sell art created by New Orleans Center for Creative Arts students.

The new terminal is set to open in February of 2019.
