NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Complaints mount about a new phone Samsung hopes will help the the company recover from 2016's exploding phone scandal.
Phone repair experts with SquareTrade say Samsung's new Galaxy S8 device is "extremely susceptible to cracking when dropped from any angle." The phone's design features a glass wraparound screen.
Samsung has not commented on SquareTrade's review.
The company responded April 24 to complaints about a red tint some Galaxy S8 users notice on the phone's display. While it has not acknowledged a problem with the phone's display, it plans to rollout software updates designed to give users what the company calls "enhanced ability to adjust the color setting."
It's unclear how many devices have the display issue.
