Police: Trespassing alligator 'handcuffed' in Slidell

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Agents handcuffed an alligator after it was found trespassing in the garage of a house in Slidell.

The two agents dragged the reptile onto the front lawn prior to taping its mouth shut and handcuffing its legs together.

According to wildlife officials, the gator was released at a safe location, away from residential areas.

Firefighters from the St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District #1 captured video of the encounter.
