Tonight in Philadelphia NFL prospects will be hoping to hear their name called in the 2017 NFL Draft.

First-round selections begin at 7 p.m. FOX 8 has a team in Philadelphia covering the draft and will have the latest on every pick made by the New Orleans Saints.

With five picks in the first three rounds, the New Orleans Saints have a chance to make a real impact on their roster moving forward.

Quarterback Drew Brees said he is “not” all draft, all-the-time. But, he does understand the impact a solid draft can have on a franchise.

“It’s kinda like a free lottery, getting pieces to add depth,” Brees said. “One of the exciting things about the draft, everybody likes to make predictions and evaluations at end of draft.”

Brees said it takes time to see how the selections play out.

“We’ve had some great drafts and we're all excited about this one since we have five picks in first three rounds and this seems to be a pretty strong draft class," Brees said.
