BOSTON (RNN) – Officials and explosive experts cleared a box truck at Hanscom Air Force Base after a routine gate inspection discovered "potentially hazardous material," prompting a gate closure and evacuation of nearby buildings.
At around 9 a.m. ET, security personnel discovered shut the gate, WCVB reports.
Inspectors detected residue on pallets found inside a Big Foot Moving and Storage truck at the Hanscom's Vanderberg Gate. Those pallets will undergo more testing.
The Air Force base website says that “Security Forces detected a concern, which caused the base to put response actions in place."
