Curtis clinches Catholic League title, outlast Rummel 42-34

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

Curtis and Rummel waged a back-and-forth heavyweight battle at the "Shrine on Airline, but at the end, only the Patriots were left standing with a 42-34 triumph over the Raiders.

Curtis clinched the Catholic League title with the win, and a game to spare in the regular season.

Curtis running back Darryan Washington scored on runs of 32, 2, and 31 yards. Patriots quarterback Collin Guggenheim accounted for three scores in the contest. Two rushing touchdowns, and a Glenn Beal 56-yard connection.

Rummel quarterback Chandler Fields threw for three touchdown passes.
