NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a chilly weekend, we'll gradually warm up throughout the work week.
The winds will shift from a cool, northwesterly flow to a more southerly one allowing for warmer air to move back in.
Plan for a nice Monday with highs in the low to mid 70s. We'll still see plenty of sunshine and dry skies. Overnight, temperatures will fall into the upper 40s north of the lake and mid 50s south.
Halloween will be very seasonable with highs in the mid 70s and evening temperatures in the 60s. Trick or treaters may want a light jacket or long sleeve, but the big coats won't be necessary.
For the rest of the week, each day will be slightly warmer, and we'll likely reach the low 80s by the end of the week. With humidity increasing as well, a few showers may pop up in the late part of the work week.
The weekend ahead looks mostly dry and warm with highs in the low 80s.
