Lower level of Westbank Expressway closed due to accident involving ambulance

JEFF DAVIS PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

An accident involving an ambulance has caused the lower level of the Westbank Expressway to close.

The westbound lane near 5000 Westbank Expressway is shut down at this time. 

Drivers need to avoid Barataria Blvd and West Bank Expressway. 

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department is on scene and will advise when the road is opened.
