With a win over Rummel, John Curtis wrapped up the Catholic League title with a game to spare. A new entry into our poll, Landry-Walker, after a convincing win over West Jefferson.

1. John Curtis (8-1)

The Patriots own the top seed in Division I playoffs right now. Just need to beat Shaw on Saturday to solidify the too spot.

2. De La Salle (8-0)

Cavaliers clinched at least a share of the District 10-3A title beating St. Charles Catholic. They can win it outright by beating Donaldsonville Thursday night.

3. Covington (9-0)

The Lions just keep on rolling. Will be extremely dangerous in the playoffs with a strong running game. Mandeville is the only school left in the way of an undefeated regular season.

4. Karr (8-1)

The District 9-4A title is on the line Thursday night when the Cougars meet up with Warren Easton at Tad Gormley.

5. Warren Easton (8-1)

The Eagles are flying high into their matchup with Karr. They absolutely crushed McDonogh 35, 42-8. Didn't think the Roneagles could get blown out like that.

6. Lakeshore (9-0)

The Titans and Salmen will face off in our FOX 8 Football Friday game of the week. Bring your popcorn, should be a good one.

7. Hahnville (7-2)

Goodness, the Tiger offense is dangerous. Scored 62 points against Central Lafourche.

8. Landry-Walker

LW is 6-3, but their losses were to: Curtis, Easton, and Karr. All very strong opponents. This squad is coming on at the perfect time.

Alvin Kamara did it all last season for Sean Payton's offense, and that's why he's No. 2 on our ranking the Saints countdown. Kamara burst onto the scene, mesmerized saints fans, and the entire NFL with his unique running style. His stat line, amazing: 728 yards rushing, averaged over six yards per carry, with  eight touchdowns. He also added 81 catches with five touchdowns. All the while playing just 45 percent of the Saints offensive snaps. Kamara ran away with the NFL's Off...more>>
