Lakeshore eyeing perfect regular season and district title

Lakeshore eyeing undefeated regular season

(WVUE) - The Lakeshore Titans offense is red-hot in 2017. They're averaging an eye-popping 45 points per contest. The exploits of the "O", are a big reason the Titans are a school record 9-0.

"The continuity of being in the same system for four years now. They work endlessly in the offseason. 7-7's during the summer, and their timing has been good since the beginning of the year. It's a lot of work they put in to get to this point," said Lakeshore Head Coach Craig Jones.

Sporting the best start in school history is all fine and well for the Lakeshore Titans, but they have much bigger goals starting Friday night with their game against Salmen. Where they fight for a district title.

"Yeah, I think just focusing on what the next game is. Couple of people started talking to us about running the table. We haven't won a district championship in 5-6 years. We're trying to keep that in perspective as well. That's something we haven't done yet. We need to take care of business Friday night to get that also," said Jones.

You can see highlights of Lakeshore-Salmen at 10:15 tonight on FOX 8 Football Friday.
