Lacombe shooting leaves one person dead and four others injured

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a Lacombe home that left one person dead and four others injured.

The shooting happened just after 9:30 p.m. in the 27000 block of Mirmar Street.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds. A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victims, three males and a female, were transported to local hospitals where their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators believe that the deceased victim may have forced his way into the home. They are working to determine if there are any other suspects or individuals involved in the incident.

The shooting remains under investigation.
