NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Some areas could see visibilities drop to less than 1/4 a mile due to patchy dense fog in the area.
Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds. That puts us near record highs for this time of year, so expect it to feel pretty toasty. Overnight, the humidity will stay high and temperatures will fall into the 60s allowing fog to be an issue once again Tuesday morning.
We look to finally get some relief from this heat on Thursday as a front crosses the area and drops temperatures into the 60s and low 70s during the day. There may be some showers with this front, but dry skies are expected behind it for the weekend.
Tropical Depression 19 formed way out in the Atlantic and poses no threat to land.
