(WVUE) -

Mike Evans has been suspended without pay for one game for violations of unsportsmanlike conduct for his hit on Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Evans only received a personal foul penalty for the hit on Sunday. Coach Sean Payton was asked after the contest what should happen to Evans.

“(I didn’t see) a lot good. I know it went to New York to look at. If there’s not an ejection in that situation than I don’t know when there’s supposed to be one. (Mike Evans) was a little angry," said Payton.

NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan in his letter to Evans wrote:“During the third quarter, after a play had ended, you struck an unsuspecting opponent in the back, knocking him to the ground. Your conduct clearly did not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional.”

Kamara burst onto the scene, mesmerized saints fans, and the entire NFL with his unique running style. His stat line, amazing: 728 yards rushing, averaged over six yards per carry, with  eight touchdowns. He also added 81 catches with five touchdowns. All the while playing just 45 percent of the Saints offensive snaps. Kamara ran away with the NFL's Off...more>>
