NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for areas south of Lake Pontchartrain through 9 a.m.

Otherwise, today will be mostly cloudy with a few spotty showers. No severe weather or very heavy rain is expected. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s which is about a ten degree drop from highs the past couple of days.

We'll be breezy and cooler on Thursday behind a cold front. A few showers are possible in the early morning, but then the clouds will break up and clear. High temperatures Thursday and Friday will mostly stay in the 60s.

Clouds will increase again over the weekend and a few showers are possible late Saturday and Sunday. Again, the rain is not expected to be very heavy, widespread, or severe. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.

Another weak front will arrive early next week to dry us out.
