(WVUE) -

For the first time in a long time, we're talking Saints in the playoffs. The Black and Gold are first in the NFC South, and red-hot in all three phases (Offense, defense, special teams).

After losing their first two contest of the season, the Saints (6-2) rattled off six wins in a row. This Sunday, they try to make it seven on the road at Buffalo.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees likes the position his squad is in, but knows the team can be so much better.

"We've won in a lot of different ways. The formula has been validated a number of different times for us. We know what wins football games. We know what has won us football games. We understand if we continue to do that, we'll win a lot of games. On the flip side there's still a ton of room for improvement. I really don't think we've scratched the surface on how good we can be," said Brees.

Alvin Kamara did it all last season for Sean Payton's offense, and that's why he's No. 2 on our ranking the Saints countdown. Kamara burst onto the scene, mesmerized saints fans, and the entire NFL with his unique running style. His stat line, amazing: 728 yards rushing, averaged over six yards per carry, with  eight touchdowns. He also added 81 catches with five touchdowns. All the while playing just 45 percent of the Saints offensive snaps. Kamara ran away with the NFL's Off...more>>
