METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

A man whose resume includes stints as a Jefferson Parish playground coach and referee, and as coach for Jesuit, has been arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Allan Joseph was arrested Thursday. According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, he was lying in bed "spooning" a juvenile at a party that he hosted over the Summer. The charge stems from the original investigation into that party at his Metairie home in the 1300 block of N. Sibley.

"I know he's been involved with the playground system for many, many years, and I want to make sure the public realizes that he has been committing some inappropriate contact," said Jefferson Parish Interim Sheriff Joe Lopinto.

Joseph was arrested in August for three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Sheriff’s Office says during that party, Joseph gave  alcohol to three juveniles and “allowed them to become severely intoxicated.”

During the original investigation, The JPSO said their detectives learned Joseph was a coach and referee at a number of Jefferson Parish Recreation Department playgrounds for about 40 years. Investigators are concerned there could be additional victims of inappropriate behavior with Joseph. But, we’re told no additional victims have come forward.

In a statement, Joseph’s defense attorney, David Courcelle, said, “We just learned of the new allegations and we’re looking into it.”

If you have any information about this case, call JPSO Detective Judd Harris in the Criminal Investigations Bureau at 504-364-5300 or call Crimestoppers.
