(WVUE) -

Starting December 20th, high school seniors can sign with college football programs in the first-ever Early Signing Period. In the meantime, recruits are busy in the playoffs.

Each week on FOX 8 Football Friday, we introduce you to a new recruit as we count our way from #15 to #1. Below are players 10-6:

10. TE Glen Beal, John Curtis - At 6'5" and 250 pounds, he certainly looks the part. It's tough to gauge his production in the Patriots' run-heavy offense but has offers from every major SEC school, including LSU and Alabama.

9. DT Jamiran James, De La Salle - James will have tunnel vision heading into the postseason as the Cavaliers look to avoid another early exit after an undefeated season. He doesn't have to worry about his recruitment as he has been committed to Tulane since the summer.

8. WR Sheldon 'Sticks' Jones, Warren Easton - With a nickname that has accompanied electrifying highlights all season, the latest Eagles wideout is set to play for New Orleanian Frank Wilson at UT-San Antonio.

7. S Joe Foucha, McDonogh 35 - Athleticism has been on display on both sides of the ball this season and it's no wonder he has 9 SEC offers to choose from. He remains uncommitted as the Roneagles head into the postseason.

6. WR Lawrence Keys III, McDonogh 35 - Shifty receivers are at a premium and at 5'11", 160 lbs., Keys can evade tacklers while working up the field. His latest top six of schools consisted of Notre Dame, TCU, Houston, LSU, Auburn and Nebraska.

FOX 8 Football Friday has highlights and scores from all around South Louisiana each week at 10:18 p.m.

SEC Media Days means a lot of football talk, but nothing in terms of actual football on the field. The Tigers have seen where they stand on paper, but they're anxious to prove everyone wrong once the season starts.
