Guests evacuated from French Quarter hotel after three-alarm fire

Hotel fire in French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Guests at a French Quarter hotel were evacuated Monday morning after a three alarm fire.

According to The New Orleans Fire Department, The Oliver House Hotel on Toulouse Street caught fire before midnight.

Twenty units and 63 members of the fire department were called to help get the fire under control.

According to NOFD, the reason so many resources were called in was due to the age of the hotel and how tightly packed the structure was.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about two hours and 15 minutes.

No guests, employees, or firefighters were injured, according to NOFD.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
