Houma police investigating attempted murder case

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Houma police are investigating an attempted murder case that left a victim with life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Grand Caillou Road around 9:45 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

As the investigation continued, Houma Police learned all subjects involved in the shooting were previously located in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Grand Caillou Road where an argument took place.

The victim and suspect left the location in separate vehicles and the shooting took place in a parking lot on Grand Caillou Rd shortly after.

Police say it is still unknown as to what the altercation was about.

The victim received life threatening injuries and was transported to an undisclosed medical treatment facility, according to police.

Houma Police Department Investigators are continuing to work the investigation, which they are calling an attempted murder incident.
