HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - The Houma Police Department and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office track down an attempted murder suspect.
30 year-old Kayan Brown was taken into custody in Chauvin, La yesterday.
Houma Police found an unidentified victim shot in the 900 block of Grand Caillou Road.
The man had life threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.
Investigators were able to link Brown to the shooting on November 13.
Police say it is still unknown what prompted the shooting.
Brown is charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon, attempted 2nd Degree Murder, distribution of CDS 1, and distribution of CDS 2.
Police also found a stolen AR-15 assault rifle that's connected to another crime.
Investigators say the gun was used during the burglary of a Deputy's property.
The suspect remains in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
