NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Kids have a new place to play in City Park.

The park dedicated its new Magnolia Playground November 14. You'll find it along Marconi Drive, north of Interstate 610.

The playground equipment includes climbing areas, monkey bars, slide, balance beam, rope wall and more. "Those of you who pass by this area, particularly during soccer practice and soccer games here, know that there are just tons of kids here coming over, which is why we put it here," said City Park CEO Bob Becker.  "It's fulfilling every bit of purpose that we thought."

Park operators say the equipment is designed for kids, ages 5-12.

This addition means City Park now has five playgrounds. Magnolia Playground is the only playground north of Interstate 610.
