STPSO: Arrest made in Lacombe shooting that left one dead, four injured

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Deputies announce the arrest of a man after a shooting in Lacombe leaves one man dead and four other individuals injured. The shooting took place on Nov. 3, just after 9:30 p.m. in the 27000 block of Mirmar Street. The person taken into custody has been identified as 27-year-old Herman Williams of Pearl River.

According to police, deputies arrived on scene and found a man identified as 25-year-old Jarred Kirsch lying in the doorway of the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police also found four other individuals on scene, suffering from non-life threatening wounds.

Through their investigation, detectives learned that Kirsch and Williams forced their way into the house before gunfire was exchanged. Investigators believe that the house wasn't chosen at random and that it was drug-related.

Police say that Williams ran away before responding deputies arrived on scene. He was arrested by U.S. Marshal's Task Force members in New Orleans on Nov. 14. He was brought to the St. Tammany Parish Jail where he was booked with one count of aggravated burglary with a dangerous weapon and four counts of attempted second degree murder.

The investigation into the matter continues.
