Family of Fats Domino to flip switch, light Roosevelt Waldorf Wonderland

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The family of Fats Domino will flip the switch and light the traditional Waldorf Wonderland lobby at The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans.

The annual ceremony will honor the memory of Fats, a talented pioneer of rock-and-roll music.

Domino died October 30th at the age of 89.

The ceremony will be on Tuesday, November 28 at 5:15 p.m. on 130 Roosevelt Way.

The public is invited to join in transforming The Roosevelt New Orleans' beloved block-long lobby into a canopy of more than 60,000 twinkling lights, 46 Christmas trees, 22 birch trees and 30 feet of garland. This gorgeous display tells a spirited story, showcasing the best of New Orleans and the holidays through a classic theme designed to wow crowds each year. Guests are welcomed to revel in the display through New Year's Day.
