NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Two eastbound lanes on the Interstate 10 high rise will remain closed for several days, according to DOTD.
Commuters headed out of the city will only be able to travel on one eastbound lane, which will snarl traffic.
Inspectors said a fire Wednesday night caused moderate damage to the bridge.
DOTD said it hopes to make repairs by early next week.
Right now they're keeping weight off of the left side of the bridge.
To avoid the high rise when traveling to New Orleans East, drivers are urged to use Chef Highway as an alternate route.
